Great Deal Europa Baby Geneva Convertible Crib, Cherry
To start, we had been looking at Babi Italia cribs at Babies R Us. This crib is made by the same manufacturer (La Jobi) but at a fraction of the price. (We ended up getting the Crib, Changing Table and a mattress (which I don't think we'll use) from [...] for 5.00. It was .00 to ship to our house and we got it in less than a week.
I had read reviews saying that there was a scratch here or there or it was hard to put together but I didn't experience this at all! The only recommendation I would give for ease of installation would be to get a screwdriver that you can change the bit on and pick up an allen head bit (maybe 5 dollars) to help with putting in all of the screws. I happened to have one already.
All together, my wife and I spent a total of about 45 minutes putting together both the crib and changing table.
From a quality standpoint, it feels every bit as solid as the Babi Italia cribs or other expensive models and much more sturdy than the Graco Sarah and Lauren cribs that were in the same price range (The Europa Baby crib by itself is 5.00 on [...].) I'm really not a big fan of WalMart and took kind of a chance on this without seeing it first but I'm glad we did.
The finish we chose is espresso which looks great and matches a dark wood dresser we already had. It is very dark and has just a slight tint of red with it. We are still a couple of months away from baby but will update with any issues or comments once we have had some use out of it. Meanwhile it looks great!
Great crib! - Carito - South America
I live in South America, so I was really scared to buy this crib, bring it home and not like it or have a broken piece. Turns out it was the best buy ever! This crib is very well made, all the pieces were perfect, very clear intructions and it seems very sturdy. I recomend this crib to a modern or classic nursery. By the way, it appears to be out of stock at Amazon right now, but you can get it from Wall-Mart (I did that) where they also have a really good price.

I am impressed by the quality of the Europa Baby Geneva especially for the price of the crib. The build and materials seem solid, and the finish is well done (can be a problem with dark colored lower end cribs). I paid about 42% less than the price on Amazon at another retail store, but at this point they are mostly out of stock. The crib is easy to put together by any measure -- there are hex keys tools that can help to make it even easier. We are first time parents and are ready to have the baby in his own crib after five months. We are glad we did not spend more for bells and whistles that don't really matter. We looked at the CR recommended *Ikea* crib, but we realized that it would be of more limited use compared to a full size crib that converts easily to a toddler bed. Hope this helps.
